Career Transition Partnership (CTP) Extends It’s Role Towards Veterans

CTP as part of the Regular Forces Employment Association (RFEA) has been helping Service leavers to find suitable employment in their regions for many years.

In October a new, part-time member of staff was employed to specifically help those veterans who left the Forces more than 2 years ago.  Anne Schedding has been working for the RFEA for over 2 years and knows the ins and outs of resettlement already.  She is a German speaker and will be concentrating on generating and maintaining new employer contacts in Germany; Anne will also be involved in anything and everything that has to do with Service Leavers settling in Germany.

Several events to help prospective veterans are already planned for 2009: 02 March 2009 will see the next Germany Information Day with German CV writing workshops following on 16 March, 27 July and 30 November 2009.

Anne and her colleague Andrea Uemann, Regional and Employment Training Manager for CTP, said: “If you are planning to settle and work in Germany or if you have already settled here please get in touch with us at CTP, Hammersmith Barracks in Herford whenever you need help or support.  We would also be very glad to hear from you if you would like to provide us with employer network contacts or any kind of information (articles, websites…anything) that you found important or helpful when settling over here.  We will gratefully pass it on to other Service Leavers!”

Please contact Andrea and Anne on 05221 9953675 or Mil 82 3675 or e-mail auemann@ctp.org.uk or rfeaherford@ctp.org.uk
