HQ UKSC is pleased to announce that the Under Secretary of State and Minister for Veterans has agreed that this HQ can issue BFG Installation Access Passes to British Veterans living in Germany. Veterans may begin the application process immediately and will be allowed access to certain BFG facilities from 1st April 2009, subject to the necessary security checks having been completed successfully.
If you wish to apply for an Installation Access Pass please contact your nearest Pass Office (listed below) to make an appointment. Follow this link to download the application form and flow chart to help you through the process. If you are unable to download the information please either e-mail us or send a letter to the address listed and the forms will be sent to you in the post.
Your pass will be issued for a period of up to 3 years (dependant on security clearances) and will allow you access to Garrisons and Stations within British Forces Germany. You may also take up to 4 family members with you at any one time; these visitors will have to show valid proof of identity (i.e. passport or ID Card) and must be signed in and out of the garrison/station at all times. You will be responsible for your visitors at all times whilst accessing a BFG installation.
A list of the facilities that you will be able to access within each Garrison and Station is available at all HIVE Information Centres. Please see the website www.HIVE-Europe.co.uk for locations and opening times. Access to facilities may vary between areas. There are certain facilities that Veterans may not be able to access due to constraints placed on this HQ under the international agreements with Germany. However please be assured that this HQ is committed to developing the list of facilities that the Veterans can access and in the meantime we hope that you enjoy the ones available at present.
In regards to access to the NAAFI, you will be able to buy items for immediate personal consumption on the premises in NAAFI facilities such as cafes, shops and Pay as you Dine restaurants. Please be aware that you are personally responsible for restricting your purchases to immediate consumables. Abuse of this concession may result in the withdrawal of the Installation Access Pass.
If you are already registered with the Veterans’ Support Initiative you will receive the relevant forms by e-mail.
You do not have to register with the Veteran’s Support Initiative to get a pass however your registration helps us to gain more insight into the needs of the Veterans. If you would still like to register with the Veteran’s Support Initiative please fill in the form on this website.
Widows and widowers of British Veterans may also apply for the pass. Please e-mail us for details how to apply.
