NEW RIGHT HAND DRIVE ‘12’ REGISTRATION MARKS – 01 MARCH 2012

Anyone wishing to BFG-register a new RHD tax-free vehicle being purchased without a UK pink or blue export logbook (i.e. with an allocation certificate), should note the following important points if they wish a “12” registration:

• The insurance for the intended vehicle must not commence before 01 March 2012.
• The anticipated collection/delivery date shown on the allocation certificate must be 01 March 2012 or later.

Home Insurance Update

Due to a high number of enquiries to the recently publicised change in the accommodation regulations (printed in Sixth Sense 20th October 2011), which drew attention to the need for the correct home insurance by occupants of Service Family Accommodation (SFA) and Substitute Service Family Accommodation (SSFA), Defence Infrastructure Operations (DIO) Accommodation intend to publish a detailed explanation (expected to be released late November) which should answer the many queries raised on the subject.
