Fallingbostel Station

Fallingbostel Station is part of Bergen-Hohne Garrison which is made of Fallingbostel Station, Hohne Station and Celle Camp. Fallingbostel Station has a large population including military personnel, civilian workers and their families. Within the Station itself there are many facilities including a shopping centre in the central Naafi Max complex which includes a supermarket, a cosmetics shop, a gift shop, a Bistro café, a post office and a travel agents. Also within the Station is an information centre, ‘The Linc’ and each military unit also has its own social facilities.

Next to the Naafi Max building are care sales facilities and also a central office for organising information to BFG your car and to arrange the purchase of selected tax free products (click for more information).

Also in and around Fallingbostel Station are schools, gyms, soldiers/public dining centres, a horse riding stables, woodland walks plus extra shopping facilities in Bad Fallingbostel Town.

Bad Fallingbostel Town (Stadt)

Bad Fallingbostel town approximately 3km from Fallingbostel Station. The town (or Stadt) is over a thousand years old and is strongly linked with the communities and villages of Dorfmark, Jettebruch, Mengebostel, Riepe and Vierde to make the united ‘City of Bad Fallingbostel’. Although many of those based in Fallingbostel Station live within the camp itself, increasingly more personnel are being housed in new housing developments in these local villages.  

Bad Fallingbostel and the surrounding communities have many additional facilities available including an indoor and outdoor swimming pools, good restaurants, a couple of lively bars, supermarkets, other shopping facilities and theme parks. Bad Fallingbostel and the Station are also situated in the ‘Lüneburger Heide’ heath area which boasts beautiful countryside and quaint villages and is ideal for outdoor pursuits such as walking, running, horse riding and cycling.
