Royal Anglians support Afghan Fund with Top Trumps
Pte Chris Ross and Pte Luke Leahy of 2 Royal Anglian play the popular Top Trumps card game entitled 'Flight Units of the British Army' Royalties from the sales of these special packs, produced by Winning Moves, will generate funds for the Afghan Appeal Fund (AAF), which supports the humanitarian work of charities building schools and medical facilities in Afghanistan.

This is the first time this well loved game has featured British Forces. 2 Royal Anglian, who have supported operations in Afghanistan and moved to Celle to join 7 Armoured Brigade in August 2007, are featured in the 30 card game. Other units featured from 7 Armoured Brigade are 3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery stationed at Bergen-Hohne, Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment Fusiliers stationed at Bad Fallingbostel.

2 Royal Anglians Support Afghan fund by Playing Cards

The idea to develop an Army Top Trumps game originated with Lady Caroline Richards, wife of Lieutenant General Sir David Richards KCB CBE DSO who commanded NATO forces in Afghanistan until February 2007. Lady Caroline said: "We were hearing in letters and emails from our husbands about these children with no classrooms, just sitting on the dirt, and living with no water, electricity or toys. We wanted to do something."
