Breast Awareness arrived in Oxford Barracks on Friday 16th October when nurses Krystine Duro and Jane Holt from the medical centre in York Barracks came to further educate 1 YORKS wives on early detection of the disease as part of an ongoing campaign to reduce the numbers affected by breast cancer. The coffee morning was designed to promote awareness as well as providing an opportunity for the nurses to explain how to detect lumps, bumps and abnormalities and indeed alleviate concerns that women may have. “ We would much rather someone came to see us than have then sat at home worrying” said Jane Holt.
