The training camp will run from the 20 April to 29 May 2009 and 2 LSR are once again showing there support and commitment to Female Boxing by hosting the event.
Boxing has long been a tradition within the Army which is replicated by the Army Boxing Team who train full time at the home of Army Boxing, the Maida Gym in Aldershot.
With the continual rise in interest from females wishing to box army wide, there is progress being made to establish an Army Female Boxing Team from which the army hopes to promote its talent in the 2012 Olympics, where for the first time, female boxing will be held as an official event. |
