A new ‘Bag for Life’ initiative was launched at the beginning of February by NAAFI and also in Paderborn and Detmold in conjunction with the Home20 team.
After many months of consultation, NAAFI bowed to public pressure and produced a brand new environmentally friendly alternative to their ‘throwaway’ plastic bags. The new bags are larger and more durable, with strengthened handles. They are recyclable and re-usable and at a cost of 10c each, they can be replaced free of charge as soon as they break or become worn out.
Over 200 free ‘Home20’ bags were also given away at a special launch day at NAAFI Max Sennelager and NAAFI Neighbourhood Store in Detmold by the Home20 team. Diane Farebrother, Home20 Coordinator said: “It was great to coincide with NAAFI’s new Bag for Life initiative and raise awareness of Home20 through passing on some free merchandise!”.
NAAFI’s new Bags for Life are available now at the 5 NAAFI Max stores in BFG (Höhne, Fallingbostel, Gütersloh, JHQ and Sennelager) and also at the Hameln store. |
