Larger families residing in Paderborn Garrison have just been given the perfect answer to all their needs, with the release of a street of 12 brand new 5-bedroomed houses in Schlangen.
The semi-detached houses have taken a year to build and are located on an old playing field, with the back gardens facing into woodland. They boast modern kitchens with chrome extractor fan, hob and oven; utility room; WC; internal garage; en-suite master bedroom and four extra bedrooms split over two levels, all with fitted wardrobes and bags of storage areas.
The lucky recipient of the first house to be handed over was WO2 Lovelock of 3 Bn REME. His four children will now be able to have a bedroom each and the cul-de-sac location makes it ideal for the youngsters.
Housing and Community Support Officer, Lt Col (Retd) Alan Hunt who was present during the hand over the door keys to WO2 Lovelock, said “We are delighted with these properties. They are exactly what we need for our larger families with 4 or more children, and they are testament to the long term commitment to our families that the services are making in Germany. I’m sure the families will enjoy living here in Schlangen and will enjoy this thriving community. |
