Great excitement was once again evident at William Wordsworth School as our FS2 children prepared for the annual battle of the Sunflowers’. On Tuesday 28th of April all FS2 children had the opportunity to plant a Sunflower seed which marks the beginning of the two month long competition. On a bright and sunny day the children donned their aprons and gardening gloves before planting their all important seed. Smiles were had all round and to date the children still all have their fingers crossed in the hope of a winner!!!

The children will be caring for their own Sunflowers over the coming weeks, as well as measuring and comparing with those of their classmates. There is of course a healthy rivalry between classes FS2K and FS2D.
