Welcome to the website for all members of the British Military Contingent (BMC) participating in the Nijmegen Marches.

Nijmegen Marches 2011

The 95th Nijmegen Marches (NM11) are now behind us.  The blisters are healed (hopefully), the bars have been restocked and Heumensoord is once again just a forest!  On Friday 22 Jul 11, 38,422 participants were cheered along the Via Gladiola to the finish to receive their well-deserved medals.  Of this number 815 were representing the BMC.

The BMC Support Element would like to offer their congratulations to all those who completed NM11 successfully.  The event was a great success and the dropout rate was much lower than in previous years; most likely the result of cooler temperatures and good preparation by teams.  Detailed statistics for BMC participants can be viewed via the link in the document library below.

Nijmegen Marches 2012

The 96th Nijmegen Marches (NM12) will be held on 17-20 Jul 2012.  Teams wishing to participate in NM12 as part of the BMC may now register.

The Defence Instruction Notice (DIN) relating to NM12 can be found in the Registration Document Library section below.  Teams are required to complete the NM12 Initial Entry Form (Annex A to the DIN) which can also be found below.  Guidance noted for completion of the entry form are given at Annex B to the DIN and team leaders are encouraged to read these in order to ensure that they complete the entry form correctly.  Completed entry forms are to be submitted to the Nijmegen Marches Registrations Officer (NMRO) at bmc.register@hotmail.com before 16 Mar 12.

For Air Training Corps entrants, selection of teams will take place through HQAC in Jan 12.  Teams are to contact their ACRHQ for further details and entry forms.

This website is used as a primary means of communication between the NMRO and team leaders; as such it will be updated regularly.

Please note that if accessing this page via Dii some links/documents may not open.  This is unfortunately beyond the control of either the NMRO or webmaster.  You are therefore advised to view this page from a civilian/non-Dii computer.  To ensure that the latest version of the documents are opened please ‘refresh’ the site each time you visit.  If difficulties are still encountered please contact the NMRO directly.
