The Rheindahlen and Elmpt Saddle Cub is open to all military personnel, sponsored civilians and dependants in the JHQ, Elmpt and surrounding areas. It provides DIY livery facilities and riding lessons for all ages and levels of experience, and holds regular events, shows and activities. It is a self-financing club, but the cost of a membership, livery and lessons are significantly less than you would expect to pay in the UK or outside the Garrison. As a community welfare and recreational facility it encourages participation from all corners of the Garrison, and relies heavily on a small number of paid staff together with a number of volunteers. It is also pleased to host and support the Special Needs Riding Group.

The Club maintains its own string of horses and ponies for riding lessons and SNRG activities, and there are a significant number of private livery owners on the Yard. We have a large indoor school, a floodlit outdoor ménage, a small lungeing ring and ample storage for tack, feed and equipment, as well as a club office, and, indoor children’s play area.

We have a full-time Stable Manager, and there are paid opportunities from Grooms and Instructors. We also welcome volunteers to help with the running of the Club.
The Special Needs Riding Group is also keen to hear from volunteers who want to help with this worthwhile and rewarding activity.
