Girlguiding BFG

I lead the local Rangers club once a fortnight and assist with the Rainbows once a week. The Rangers were surprised to find out that I am in the Royal Military Police. My work with the Rangers has helped break down the barriers often experienced between the RMP and young people. It is also beneficial for them to have someone who they can talk to about crime and the consequences of it. Working with young people has had a positive impact on my career. It has made it easier for me to visit schools where the pupils already know me from my youth work”.

SSAFA Volunteers Week

Girlguiding is the largest female voluntary organisation in the world with 100,000 volunteers worldwide who work with girls and young women to help them reach their potential. Volunteers receive no financial incentive, yet week in week out they face the exciting challenges that comes with leading groups for young people.

Girlguiding in Germany is know as British Guides in German (BGIG) and BGIG’s vision is to have sufficient volunteer leaders to enable every girl and young woman to have the opportunity to join Girlguiding in BFG.

If you would like to play an active role in a caring environment by helping, encouraging and promoting your people today and have time, energy and a sense of humour, then why not give us a call? No experience required as full training is provided.

You will get to work alongside others who have all made a promise: to do their best; love their God; help other people; be honest, reliable and trustworthy; be polite and considerate; and respect all living things.

You will gain skills in a supportive environment, have the opportunity to travel and make new friends. The Guiding experience is often highly regarded by employers and it can open up opportunities for leaders in the workplace.

With an ever-transient community, we are always looking for new volunteers to run Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers and hold advisory roles. Anyone, regardless of faith, race, culture, nationality can apply. To volunteer your time or find out more about the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides or Rangers in your area, please visit your local HiVE
