AWS Summer Activities Programme for 3 - 10 year olds. Please contact SSgt Neil Salmon for more details.

31st July - Minor Units ‘Meet and Greet’ starting at 1:30pm at the Pink Rooms. Buffet provided and cash bar available, as well as a children’s entertainer & play area.

6th August - Dependants meal and cocktails at Havana's.

Families Briefings

Any remaining families of 110 Pro Coy who did not manage to attend the Deployment Briefs in May can attend the Families Briefings being held in the Pink Room on the following days:

Thursday 14th July
Wednesday 24th August
Thursday 25th August
Monday 5th September

On each of the above days the briefings will be held at the following times:

0930hrs 1200hrs 1600 hrs 1930 hrs

Briefings are for the whole family.

General Information

Books: This Welfare Office has copies of ‘My Daddies Going Away’ – feel free to come in and borrow one.
Other recommended books for self purchase include: My Mummy Is a Soldier & My Daddy is a Soldier by Gerry Waters, My Dad’s a Hero by Rebecca Christiansen and Deployment Journal for Kids by Rachel Robertson.

ArmyNet: Has your spouse added you to ArmyNet? Remember this is the primary source of information concerning the upcoming deployment.

Storybook Soldier: The deploying soldier can record their child’s favourite story which is professionally edited and supplied on a CD prior to the tour and keeps communication going through a period of separation.

Your choice: Any suggestions for family days out should be passed to SSgt Salmon
