UK based brokers who sell policies that are valid in Germany
There are only a small handful of UK based insurance brokers who offer insurance that complies with BFG regulations. Only two companies appear to underwrite these brokers so shopping around for a good deal is not as easy as it would normally be in the UK.

Germany based brokers
BFG VLO state that they accept insurance provided by all German insurance companies, however, most of the brokers selling BFG insurance appear to use AXA Germany as their underwriter so again shopping around for a good deal is not easy.

(Of note: unlike UK insurance your policy will automatically be renewed at the end of each year. If you pay annually the payment will be taken on the 1st of the month in which your insurance runs out. The only way to cancel your insurance is to give 30 days notice, transfer/sell the vehicle, or change to a UK based insurer)
