Barnaby Bear - Barnaby's Trip to The Hospital
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT), the British Forces Health Service contract, has recently published a new edition of ‘Barnaby’s Trip to the Hospital’. This children’s book, aimed at Primary school-aged children and below, has been produced to ease any anxieties that children may have about going into hospital. It replaces the first edition, called ‘Barnaby Bear’s stay in the hospital Kinderklinik’.
It tells the story, with photos, of what happens to Barnaby Bear during a stay in hospital, helping children to understand what they can expect from their hospital visit.
The book is widely available from medical centres, HIVEs, Home-Start and paediatric nurses around BFG. From September the book will also be available from primary schools.
For more information about the book, please contact Monique Jones, Patient Support Manager, GSTT, on Tel: Bielefeld Mil (81) 7895 or mobile: 0175 183 1765.
