Internet Connections

The 2 most common ways of connecting to the Internet are either via a Dial-up modem or an ADSL Broadband connection. The list below details the most common Internet Service Providers (ISP) who can provide packages for BFG.

This list is not exhaustive and it should be noted that not all providers will be able to provide their full range of packages to all users. For instance, JHQ residents will find that they will have a limited number of options available to them.

Users should note that with all ISP’s except Arcor, they will require to pay monthly ADSL line rental charges (around €15) to Deutsche Telekom as well as their ISP connection charges.

Arcor provides a complete package of Phone and Internet connectivity (Broadband) for a single monthly fee.

If you are unsure which ISP to choose, you should ask your colleagues who will give you an idea of what is available to you and what the current offers are. They may also know of local German colleagues who will be able to help you set up your Internet connection.
